Access Control Solutions
Access Control is a fundamental component of data security that determines whose allowed entry into a particular space that wouldn’t be available to all. Instead of having a key, you would have an “access card” (that could look like several things) to facilitate entry into the area they are trying to access which is monitored and logged by the system software. Its goal is to minimize the risk of unauthorized access. This is one of the main fundamentals of physical security technology. This is just one of the many ways an access control system could and would be used.
Benifits of an Acess control System
More Control
Access control systems give you more control when determining who has access to what areas of a building.
Ease of Access
There are many options for access control “keys” (cards, key fobs, etc), so employees don’t need to remember a pin number.
More Secure
Electronic cards are very hard to copy and can be cancelled through the system if lost. Unlike physical keys that can be easily copied.
Record
Access control systems provide a full history or who is coming and going from what areas of a building.
Turnover
If you have high staff turnover or contractors going through the building cards can be easily made for temporary access.
Data Protection
Access control can be used to protect valuable information about a company that is stored on servers.
